The Order of Chaos

Note: A lot of my recent teaching has focused on putting, but I'm confident that this bit of advice applies to every part of a player's game...

Order: The arrangement or disposition of people or things in relation to each other according to a particular sequence, pattern, or method.

Chaos: Complete disorder and confusion

These definitions are highlighted in what is an otherwise brief article that offers a preview of my upcoming case study. The purpose is to look at the above picture and note the difference between order and chaos.

The appearance of an object or motion, like the above evergreen branch or a putting stroke , is relative to that of the desired task or required end result. Order can be achieved by assembling a series of functional pieces.

Disassembling those pieces and organizing them based on a rigid, dogmatic, structured viewpoint can be disruptive to the environment in which those pieces need to operate.

This is the order of chaos.
